The above magazine, The Willows, is a truly exceptional magazine of Steampunk/Victorian speculative fiction.
In their own words, “The Willows is an atmospheric horror and dark fantasy magazine with an emphasis on the traditional weird tale, in the classic style of Blackwood, Dunsany, Hodgson, Machen, and other macabre fantasistes of the 19th and early 20th centuries.”
As many small-press (and even large-press) magazines are now, they are falling on rough times and need the support of readers. It would be a shame to see this quality magazine fail for want of a few dollars, so please visit them and buy an issue or subscribe.
And please believe… I’m not just saying this because they published my poem The Tailors in the November/December 2008 issue.
